Do you struggle when painting with acrylics? Do you have difficulty getting proportions correct when painting facial features? In this one-day workshop, your instructor Sophia Rose will guide you through the many challenges of painting faces with acrylics. Simplifying the process by using only two to three colors, students will learn the basics of capturing the likeness of a human subject.
This class is great for beginners and advanced painters alike, and students will take home a completed painting. Your instructor will provide printed references to paint from, but students are more than welcome to bring a reference of their own. A smock or apron is highly recommended, if not wear clothes you are willing to get paint on!

Notes : All materials will be provided for a $20 fee payable to the instructor at the start of class, or students can bring the following: a palette, various sizes of acrylic paint brushes ( 1” to 3/0 is recommended), an 8” x 10” or 8” x 8” canvas, and various colors of student grade acrylic paint (Liquitex Basics Acrylic paint is highly recommended, but any tubed acrylic paint in titanium white, primary blue, and at least one additional color of the students choice will work as well)
Prérequis : This class is great for novices or for those who would like to build on what they've learned from prior classes.
