Description :
Welcome! WHY ABSTRACT? Painting abstractly encourages self-expression and stimulates experimentation, exploration, and discovery. This class will give your creative muse the courage to strike out on a path of individuality and originality -- developing your own style. For starters, you will learn basic techniques like blending colors, dry brushing, wet-on-wet, glazing, layering, sgraffito, line works, pallet knife, mark-making using non-traditional tools, etc. Additionally, you will also learn basic color theory and the basic elements of composition. But this is not just another abstract class. Even if your jam is painting realistic subjects, the lessons you learn and the exercises you do in this class will help enhance the rendering of your subject in a fresh way, producing a work of art that is courageous, innovative, and fun. Beginners are totally welcome. No drawing skills necessary. There are no judgments or mistakes -- only wonderful discoveries. Students exclaimed how much fun they had and how they felt creatively liberated. So, why not give it a go?
