Description :

In this class, you’ll create beautiful hand-forged metal pendant using copper and brass. Learn the basics of metalsmithing including working with a range of our jewelry studio tools including the jewelry saw, dapping tools, piercing tools, hammers and soldering torch. You will transfer a pattern to a piece of metal, drill or punch holes in the metal, saw out the design, shape, file, add textures solder and sweat solder your pieces together.  Sweat soldering is used when putting together two flat pieces of metal, to create a complete seal holding them together with no gaps around the edges.

Take home a beautiful new piece of jewelry to wear or gift to someone special.

Previous jewelry making experience is helpful but not essential.  For your safety, close-toed shoes, long hair pulled back, clothes that you don't mind getting dirty are highly recommended.
