DAY TRIPS
The Active Adult Day Trips are open to anyone 21 years of age or better. 

Below is a generalization of physical activity levels for days trips.

Day Trip Physical Activity Levels
Easy: Ability to board the bus, easy, mostly sitting
Light: Mostly sitting, with some walking
Moderate: Some walking, possible stairs
High: Lots of walking, stairs, elevation

DAY HIKES
Hikes are not rated.

Contact Adults' staff prior to registering for questions regarding hikes. Before registering, strongly consider your current physical condition, how long it has been since you last hiked, starting elevation, elevation gain and distance of hike. Hikes are in the foothills or mountains and on dirt or gravel trails. Trail conditions could include roots, rocks, ruts and mud. Check AllTrails.com or HikingProject.com for detailed information for hikes.

Strongly Recommended Hiking Equipment
day backpack, footwear with good support and lugged soles for traction, rain gear or poncho, snacks and lunch, at least two quarts of water, clothing for the time of year and varying weather conditions, hat, hiking poles

Strongly Encouraged Hiking Equipment
whistle, sunglasses, lip balm, sunscreen

SKIP-GEN TRIPS

Skip-gen (skip a generation) trips are designed for older adults ages 55+ and youth ages 5-15. The following trips are defined as grandparent-grandchild trips. Leave the parents at home while you and your grandchild enjoy a special outing together. Grandchildren will travel on our bus together with their grandparents. Booster seats or seats belts are required according to Colorado Law. Please provide your own booster seat, if needed. Price is per person.

EXTENDED TRAVEL
Flyers for domestic and international travel are available on all trips in the Columbine Lounge.
