100605345 Ontario Inc operates on 90 acres in remote rural South Algonquin Township in Northern Ontario under two brand names: Four Corners Algonquin and Wild Company. We operate toward a larger social agenda aimed at regenerative community building with the goal of making the natural and cultural heritage of this township more accessible to people across ages and stages of life, including vulnerable and equity-deserving groups (women, 2SLGBTQI+, racial minorities, new Canadians and especially populations with physical, cognitive and neurodivergent differences) who are currently underserved in outdoor recreation and leisure spaces. Four Corners Algonquin provides camping and glamping tourist accommodation, where we have gained a reputation for being a go-to provider of ready-to-camp camping services in our region, especially for people with disabilities. Wild Company provides accessible leisure programming experiences in a modern folk school tradition. The inclusive and democratic ethos of folk school traditions focus on building a sense of community, curiosity and personal growth rather than academic achievement. We prioritize experiential learning in leisure areas such as arts and crafts, outdoor and nature-based activities, and citizen science. We are especially interested in making our experiences accessible to neurodivergent learners, families and people for whom formal education systems may have dampened their curiosity.
