New to pickleball? This beginner class is designed for players with little to no experience who want to learn the fundamentals in a fun, welcoming JCC environment.

You'll get hands-on instruction covering:

• Court layout, rules and scoring basics
• Proper grip, stance and paddle control
• Serving, returning and keeping the ball in play
• Essential shots, including dinks, volleys and groundstrokes
• Footwork and positioning for doubles play
• Pickleball etiquette and basic strategies

By the end of the class, you'll understand the flow of the game, feel comfortable joining open play and have the skills and confidence to start enjoying pickleball.

No experience needed. Just bring comfortable athletic shoes, water and a positive attitude. Paddles are available if you don't have one.

Once you've completed at least one beginner class, you'll be eligible to sign up for our Intermediate Clinic to continue building your skills and confidence on the court.
