Description :
Presented by the Union County Health Department Build a stronger foundation for emotional well-being in this insightful and practical workshop focused on mental health. “Stress & Coping” introduces participants to the ways stress affects the mind and body, while providing simple, effective strategies to manage it in everyday life. During the session, we’ll explore three powerful coping techniques—meditation, affirmations, and exercise—and demonstrate how each can reduce stress, improve mood, and support overall wellness. Participants will gain hands-on experience with these approaches, learning how to incorporate them into their daily routines in meaningful, sustainable ways. The class also includes an informative overview of mental health issues and illnesses, helping participants better understand common mental health disorders, recognize signs and symptoms, and reduce stigma through education and awareness.
