Description
Writing Symphony offers live online English Language Arts classes for students in grades 1–12. Headquartered in Washington, our rigorous academic writing and public speaking programs help students become confident, skilled writers and communicators. Our highly qualified teachers use a unique methodology and structured curriculum to give students the support they need to develop confidence in academic writing, creative writing, and public speaking. Students develop writing and presentation skills that can help them stand out when applying for scholarships, private schools, prestigious colleges, and writing contests. Each level is divided into eight modules, with four lessons in each module. Students begin with the first module appropriate for their current grade level, with each level building progressively on the skills learned before. Through Writing Symphony’s online writing courses, students develop notetaking, writing, reading comprehension, and literary analysis skills. They learn to thoughtfully organize and present well-written reports and presentations while strengthening their creative writing skills through picture-based writing and original stories. Students also learn practical writing techniques, including sentence preludes and sentence accents, that transform writing from mundane to engaging. Skills are taught incrementally, gently guiding students from foundational writing skills to more sophisticated academic writing and public speaking.
