Vet Camp: A Week in the World of Veterinary Medicine

Step into the shoes of a veterinarian at Vet Camp, a thrilling week-long summer camp for kids aged 9–12, hosted by the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth!

Campers will embark on an educational journey led by veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, and animal wellness experts. Each day, they’ll explore fascinating topics and gain real-world insights into the veterinary profession, including:

• Parasites: Learn about these tiny creatures and how they affect animal health.
• X-Rays: Discover how imaging helps diagnose injuries and illnesses.
• Animal Enrichment: Find creative ways to keep animals happy and healthy.
• Animal Communication: Understand how animals express themselves.
• Physical Exams: Practice the steps of a basic wellness check-up.
• Vet Appointments: Learn how to set up and prepare for successful veterinary visits.

Refund Policy:
Refunds will be made if requested in writing by email and will be refunded in accordance with the schedule below. The Humane Society reserves the right to grant exceptions to the stated policy in extreme situations.

No Refunds for Partial Attendance or Illness:
We do not give refunds when someone chooses to leave a program part way through, for any reason. All of our expenses are incurred before the start of the program, including materials and staffing.
Weather Conditions:
Day Camp will take place in all weather conditions. Should a session need to be cancelled due to extreme weather parents will be notified as soon as possible.

Refund Guidelines:
15 days notice or more for refund - 10% program fee deducted
14 days to 72 hours notice or less for refund - 50%
72 hours notice or less - No refund
Once program has begun - No refund
