Description :
Please note there is no class Friday June 19th. In this workshop, every day brings a fun, new filmmaking challenge! Students might have to use a specific prop, or evoke a certain emotion, or tell a story with no words. Working in small groups, they’ll have until the end of the day to write, shoot, and edit movies that are one minute long! This fast-paced workshop is great for imaginative students with lots of ideas! Telling stories in 60 seconds is a great way to flex your creative muscles while learning technical skills, teamwork, and time management. Returning filmmakers will get additional, advanced instruction! Rising 7th-12th graders can work towards the Light House Achievement Award by completing programs in three different categories. This workshop counts as one Core Filmmaking credit. Visit lighthousestudio.org/achievement-award for more information. Tuition assistance is available for all Light House workshops. To apply, fill out the Tuition Assistance application and wait for a response from our staff with further instructions.
Watch the award-winning film "Lonely," created in the 2023 60-Second Shorts workshop!
