Description :

There’s no better way to learn filmmaking than to make a film! In this fast-paced, hands-on workshop, high school students work together in small crews to create their own five-minute movies and learn every step of the production process along the way.

You’ll begin by pitching your ideas to our experienced filmmaking mentors, who will help you craft your story and give you the green light. Then you’ll use professional screenwriting software, storyboards and shot lists to plan out your movie like a pro. Next you’ll assign roles like director, cinematographer, and actors and bring your film to life!

Students are grouped together by experience level, so this workshop is suitable for beginners and Light House veterans alike. Make your very first movie or push yourself by trying a new genre!

Returning filmmakers will get additional, advanced instruction.

This workshop counts as one Core Filmmaking credit towards the Light House Achievement Award. Visit lighthousestudio.org/achievement-award for more information.
