Make your movie sound amazing with the real, fun audio techniques that pros use!

In this workshop, students will make a variety of short films and scenes - and that's just the beginning. They'll take their movies to the next level by creating and performing all the sound effects themselves! 

Foley artists often use unexpected materials to create new sounds. The thwip of Spider-Man's webs? Fishing line and whipped cream. The hum of a lightsaber? Feedback from a microphone that got too close to a TV. What iconic sounds will you invent?

This new workshop celebrates the art of hands-on, DIY creating. Get ready to dig through a set of props, play with the sounds that different materials make, and work with audio recorders and sound mixing to create amazing sound design, then hear it on a real theater sound system when they screen their films at the Vinegar Hill Theatre!
