Create your own movie sound effects (SFX) from scratch!

In this workshop, students will create and perform all of the sound effects for a variety of scenes that we write and film together at the beginning of the week.

Sound is such an important part of cinema! Foley artists create their own sound effects to add more depth and realism to movies. They often use unlikely materials to create sounds so natural that viewers don't even realize they were added in post-production.

This new workshop celebrates the art of hands-on, DIY creating. Get ready to dig through a set of props, play with the sounds that different materials make, and work with audio recorders and sound mixing to create the most amazing SFX that will take your movie to the next level!
