Description :

Ever wanted to learn how movies are made, and try making your own? Now’s your chance!

In this workshop, suitable for all experience levels, students will explore the fundamentals of visual storytelling, cinematography, editing and more while working in small groups to create original short films. Light House will provide equipment, expert guidance, and studio space; you bring the ideas and imagination!

Young filmmakers will learn about all the different roles on a film set, from writer to director to actor, by trying them all. They’ll build creative and technical skills as well as collaboration.

Whether your child is a film buff, loves to tell stories, wants to perform, or just wants to have fun and make friends this summer, they’ll find something to love in our one-week filmmaking workshop!

Returning filmmakers will get additional, advanced instruction.

Rising 7th-12th graders can work towards the Light House Achievement Award by completing programs in three different categories. This workshop counts as one Core Filmmaking credit. Visit lighthousestudio.org/achievement-award for more information.

Tuition assistance is available for all Light House workshops. To apply, fill out the Tuition Assistance application and wait for a response from our staff with further instructions.
