Have you ever wished you could visit Ancient Egypt or the Wild West? Do your favorite stories feature princesses, vikings, or even dinosaurs? Maybe you’re more interested in cyborgs, robots, spaceships, and the distant future. Good news: with imagination and movie magic, you can travel through time!

Young filmmakers in this workshop will start by learning how historical epics and sci-fi movies bring the past and future to life. Then they’ll get the chance to come up with their own story set in a different era, or featuring time travel. Working in small groups, they’ll cover skills like cinematography, special effects, costuming, and editing. By the end of the week each group will complete a film for the ages!

Returning filmmakers will get additional, advanced instruction.
