So you’ve downloaded Yiddish on Duo Lingo... nu? now what? Come for an introduction – punctuated with music, short stories, and humour – to the vibrant history of Yiddish culture often forgotten in today's mainstream Jewish spaces. Come listen, learn, and sing with us! 

 

About Jonathan & Ester: 

Jonathan is a Yiddish-obsessed young man who recently transitioned from U of T grad student to professional carpenter. His Yiddish journey has included joining the Yiddish folk choir "Zing! Zing! Zing!", and two summers studying at the Yiddish Book Center, in Amherst, MA. Jonathan will be joined by friend and mentor Professor Ester Reiter, life-long Yiddishist and author of "A Future Without Hate or Need: The Promise of the Jewish Left in Canada".
