Typically, archives collect materials after historical events have occurred. However, as the pandemic unfolded, the OJA began to proactively document the community’s response. Join us for a panel discussion exploring the resulting collection that will illuminate this unprecedented time for the future. 

About The Panelists: 

Josh Tapper is a doctoral candidate in Jewish History at Stanford University and is leading the initiative Toronto Jewry and the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Oral History Project. Michael Friesen is an archivist who has worked at the OJA since 2017. Managing Director of the OJA, Donna Bernardo-Ceriz has been an archivist with the OJA since 2006 and initiated the COVID-19 Documentation Project in spring of 2020. OJA and Neuberger Executive Director Dara Solomon will moderate the conversation.
