In this session, grades K-3 will dive into the fascinating world of weather. Through hands-on activities, they will learn about different types of weather, how it changes, and what affects it. They’ll explore precipitation with cotton balls, discover how wind is formed with simple experiments, and even create their own windsocks to observe wind direction. We’ll also learn about clouds—what they are, the different types, and how they tell us about the weather. Students will understand how meteorologists use clouds and other weather patterns to predict what might happen next. By the end of the session, they’ll have a better understanding of the weather around them and how it changes.
