💦Dive into fun at Paperboat Palooza! Join our cardboard boat pool race for a splash of creativity and friendly competition. Design, build, and race your own vessel, and enjoy a day of nautical excitement with family and friends. Who will float to victory? Find out at Paperboat Palooza!🏆

Rules for Paperboat Palooza:
1. Boat Construction: All boats must be constructed primarily from cardboard and adhesive materials (Duct Tape). No pre-existing boat hulls or flotation devices are allowed.
2. Size Limitations: Each boat must fit within the lap lanes to ensure fair competition and safety. The maximum dimensions are 4ft wide x 8ft long.
3. Adhesives and Sealants: Participants are free to use any adhesive or sealant to assemble their boats. However, no inflatable materials, motors or buoyant coatings are permitted.
4. Decorations: Creativity is encouraged! Participants may decorate their boats with paint, markers, and other non-buoyant embellishments. However, decorations must not significantly alter the weight or buoyancy of the boat.
5. Team Size: Each boat must have a designated captain and may include additional team members for paddling support.
6. Safety Gear: All participants must wear appropriate safety gear, including life jackets or flotation devices, during the race (The PDoFP Aquatic Center has life jackets to provide).
7. Race Course: The race will take place in the Lap Lane area of the pool (4ft to 12ft) Participants must navigate their boats around obstacles and markers as outlined in the race course.
8. Fair Play: Participants must adhere to the spirit of fair competition and sportsmanship at all times. Any unsportsmanlike behavior or attempts to sabotage other boats will result in disqualification.
9. Race Officials: Race officials will monitor the event to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations. Their decisions regarding race outcomes and disqualifications are final.
10. Have Fun!: Above all, Paperboat Palooza is about having fun and unleashing your creativity. Enjoy the experience, cheer on your fellow participants, and celebrate the joy of cardboard boat racing! These rules will help ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all participants at Paperboat Palooza.
