Pom Pom Dance is a high-energy dance style where dancers will learn the essential skills needed for a school dance team. The focus will be on sharp, precise movements and synchronization while incorporating pom poms. Dancers will also work on flexibility, showmanship, and be introduced to technical skills such as jumps, turns, and leaps.

Whether your child is interested in cheering or dancing for their school team or simply looking for a fun experience, this class is a perfect fit!

Meet Our Instructor: Carmen Young

With over 10 years of experience in coaching and teaching, Carmen Young's expertise spans from baton twirling to gymnastics at both recreational and competitive levels. Her dance journey began at the age of 5 at Panda Studios in Forest Park, IL. She went on to dance and cheer in high school and continued dancing in college.

After her dancing and cheer career, Carmen dedicated herself to giving back to the community by coaching and teaching at various park districts, high schools, colleges, and nonprofits. She has also choreographed routines for showcases, talent shows, and competitions. For the past 12 years, she has had the privilege of judging cheer and dance competitions at the park district level.
