4H Shelter may be reserved for your family picinic, outings and company picnics from May through September. Each shelter has electricity and water access. Picnic table seating accomodates 200. If you don't need the entire shelter, you may reserve just half of the shelter that seats approximately 100 people.

The 4H Shelter is located just east of Red bud Drive, north of the Memorial Ice Arena and Parkside Athletics. The Pekin Park Trail runs immediately north of the shelter. Parking is to the north of the shelter, entering off Stadium Drive. Handicapped restrooms are to the south of the shelter.

Shelter reservations are made in the Recreation Reception Office located in the Vetreans Memorial Arena, Monday - Friday, during business hours. We reserve for the current year and following year.

You may reserve the shelter from:
8:00 a.m. - Noon
Noon - 4:00 p.m.
4:00 p.m. - Dark.   

Half Shelter Fees are as follows:
Resident: $25
Non-Resident: $45

This 1/2 shelter booking option includes either the North and South halves of the shelter and has the possibility of sharing the shelter with another rental group.
