🎨 What You’ll Learn

This six‑week series is focused exclusively on wheel throwing and is designed for students who want dedicated time on the pottery wheel. Whether you’re newer to the wheel or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, each class includes demonstrations, individualized instruction, and plenty of hands‑on practice.

Over the course of six sessions, you’ll learn:

  • Centering clay and developing consistent forms
  • Wheel throwing techniques for bowls, mugs, and cylinders
  • Trimming and refining wheel‑thrown pieces
  • Surface design techniques suited for wheel work
  • Glazing and finishing your pottery

The emphasis throughout the series is repetition, skill‑building, and improving confidence on the wheel.

🏺 What You Can Make

Throughout the series, students will create a variety of wheel‑thrown functional pieces, such as:

  • Bowls, mugs, and tumblers
  • Cylinders and basic vessels

Students are encouraged to explore their own ideas while building strong foundational wheel‑throwing skills.
