NEW CLASS FOR THE WINTER SESSION

Description Children in this club will be introduced to basic engineering concepts and design process through engaging, hands-on activities. They will explore real world problems and brainstorm solutions to questions such as How can we use renewable energy to power things in our world? How can we build strong bridges? What makes up an electrical circuit? How can we use block programming to power a simple robot? Topics covered will include sustainable energy, electrical engineering, civil engineering, and robotics. Each week, children will work on projects such as solar panel grasshoppers, wind turbines, miniature catapults, paper towel tube marble rollercoasters, basic robots and more!

Instructors Brooklyn Latin High School juniors Matilda Curley, Leyli Atajanova, Christina Dong and Sayeeda Saima are thrilled to bring their enthusiasm for engineering concepts and projects to the children at PS 154.
