Descriptions Students will walk with PS 154 staff to the beautiful YogaSole studio for these classes.

Mindful Art Each week, children will take a deep dive into an immersive art project that takes serious focus — book making, hand stitching, papermaking, fiber arts, observational drawing and painting, collaging, and 3D sculpture. They will draw from the natural world and their own interests to make beautiful work while employing calming breath work and mindful practice introduced through short guided meditations.

Instructor RISD graduate Erika spent her childhood in California wishing she was a ballerina and jockey and keeps those childhood dreams of creativity, dance, and expression alive to this day. Her love of movement was evidenced in her time spent competing in Scottish Highland dancing and bagpipes, cheerleading, and running track. She has worked in textile and fashion design before becoming a costume designer for theater and film. In 2019 she transitioned to teaching yoga and movement at YogaSole.
