Upcycling is a useful tool in this ever increasingly unaffordable world. In this class, we will explore sewing machine basics to demystify the art of sewing. Participants are invited to bring an old item of clothing to turn into either a bag or pillow, using basic sewing techniques, With the intention of building skills that you can bring into your daily lives. 

Instructor Bio:

Charmaine Miron first learned to sew in high school. Over the years, she has made several costumes and custom pieces by special request, often upcycling old clothes into useful items.  Through decades of trial and error, she has honed her skills in clothing repair and alterations, and is thrilled to share her knowledge to empower people to develop their own sewing skills!
