Description :

Rediscover your creativity this spring through RCA’s new seniors and intergenerational programs. These offerings create a dynamic space for artistic expression, connection, and lifelong learning. Seniors are empowered to stay active and engaged while fostering meaningful connections across generations.

Participants can explore their creativity through activities such as Dance Around the World, Sound and Motion, Book Arts, Storytelling, and Printmaking. These programs promote well-being, enhance social connections, and inspire personal growth. By celebrating the power of art to unite, RCA fosters a sense of belonging, making creativity accessible to all, regardless of age.

In the Book Arts course, participants will explore imaginative and experimental ways to create artist books. Whether working individually or collaboratively with a partner, friend, or family member, participants will design books that tell personal stories or explore meaningful themes. The course covers bookbinding techniques, book forms, and sustainable, handmade methods.

Students will experiment with adhesive, non-adhesive, hand-sewn, and folding binding methods. Personal images, writing, drawings, and poems are welcome to incorporate into the books. Recycled and repurposed materials will be available.

All experience levels are welcome, including intergenerational and familial groups, as well as individuals interested in sharing creative space.
