Description :

Have you ever considered arranging objects together, even if they might not make sense? Do you wonder how things out in the world find themselves together? Or rather, do you see things that should go together but don’t?

This course introduces alternative approaches to thinking about collage. Students will start with traditional concepts of collage-making using two-dimensional methods and progress to three-dimensional forms. They will also explore conceptual art terms such as bricolage and assemblage, engaging in projects based on these ideas. The course will focus on combining found materials and unconventional methods, broadening our understanding of sculpture and art. We will create sculptures using personal items of your choice.

The course does not have any prerequisites. Students from all backgrounds are welcome to participate, and creativity and flexibility are highly encouraged.
