PRESCHOOL AQUATICS LEVEL 3

(ages approx. 4-5 years)

The objective of Level 3 is to increase children?s proficiency in performing previously learned skills. This is accomplished by providing additional guided practice and increasing repetitions, distances, times or levels of refinement. The skills in Level 3 are performed independently. New water safety topics are introduced, and previously acquired water safety knowledge and skills are reinforced.

Notes : When arriving for lessons, please enter through the locker rooms and wait in the corridor between the pool and the locker rooms until class start time.

Prérequis : "Completed Level 2 Exit Skills Assessment with Certified Water Safety Instructor All Preschool Aquatics Level 2 exit skills can be performed with assistance (not supported). 1. Light on the front for at least 2 body lengths, roll to back, float on back for 15 seconds and then recover to a vertical position. 2. Glide on back for at least 2 body lengths, roll to front, then recover to a vertical position. 3. Swim using combined arms and leg actions on the front for 3 body lengths, roll to back, float for 15 seconds, roll to front, then continue swimming on front for at least 3 body lengths. "
