Avi Melamed is a Geopolitical Middle East Expert, Intelligence Analyst, Former Israeli Intelligence Official and Senior Arab Affairs Advisor. He is the Founder of Inside The Middle East: Intelligence Perspectives (ITME), a non-partisan educational nonprofit focused on the Middle East. At the core of ITME’s mission is the belief that to truly understand Israel, one must first understand the broader Middle East, a principle that shapes everything the organization does.

 

Grounded in this perspective, ITME provides authentic, apolitical, intelligence-based education across a variety of formats, including briefings, documentaries, and fellowships. The organization’s goal is to equip individuals with the knowledge, resources, and regional context they need to think more critically, ask better questions, and engage in more constructive and informed conversations.

He is the author of three books and is fluent in Hebrew, Arabic, and English. He is also a regular commentator on outlets such as Al Arabiya, BBC, Bloomberg, CBC, and Reuters. His insights are featured on the ITME HUB.
