Bollywood For Beginners

Combining classical Indian Dance with hip hop, bellydance and latin dance, Bollywood is a uniquely dynamic and addictive dance form. This class is aimed toward students with little or no dance background, with exciting and accessible choreography taught at a slow and easy pace. Come experience the joy of Bollywood dance in a low-pressure, high-enjoyment environment. All genders welcome.

 

Olivia Meikle stumbled into her first Bollywood dance class twelve years ago and was instantly hooked. She’s been studying (and eventually, teaching) Bollywood ever since. Olivia’s motto is “Enthusiasm Over Accuracy” – her classes will always focus on fun and enjoyment over skill level or correctness. Olivia also teaches Women’s & Gender Studies at Naropa University and hosts the popular What’sHerName history podcast.

Cancellations less than 2 weeks before start of program: A full credit (minus a $25 service fee) will be awarded, which can be applied to future dance programming only. No refunds awarded less than 2 weeks before start of program. No refund or credit is available after start of program. In the event of a medical emergency, a parent may submit a written request for a partial tuition credit to apply toward future dance programming only. We will be following Boulder County Covid procedures which include masking indoors at all times.
