Join Bad Art Club once per month on a Saturday afternoon for a day of artmaking! BAC is a meetup for new artists, non-artists, and those that love to create. We focus on the creative process of making art and are open to all skill levels. All supplies provided. For ages 10+. This class is provided for free to participants thanks to funding from the Orange County Arts Commission and in-kind donation of space from The ArtsCenter.

This month, Margaret Maples (she/her) will guide us in designing stamps, transferring images to rubber, carving, inking, and stamping. Bring your own rubber carving tools or use ours! Check out an example at https://www.instagram.com/p/DKqHsPDPCq4/

About the Instructor: Shady Kimzey, Founder & Facilitator of Bad Art Company

Shady Kimzey is an independent artist and creative entrepreneur from Raleigh with over 10 years of experience in teaching and facilitation. They work with non-profits, government agencies, and businesses such as The Carrboro ArtsCenter, Orange County Arts Commission, Artspace, and the City of Raleigh.

Shady Kimzey's classes focus on beginners exploring new skills and ideas. The goal is for participants to express themselves and explore their process of making art.
