Description :

Enigmatic Horizons by Amy Wetsch

Sweetbay Gallery from 2/9-4/8

Within the natural world there are many biological and geological processes that, although studied, are still shrouded in mystery. In Amy’s work, she explores the interconnectivity, grandeur, and complexities of the physical world, particularly the things which we cannot see with our limited field of vision. Her interest in these subjects began with her fascination surrounding “invisible” disorders of the human body and her experience being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder as a child. She became fixated on understanding the misdirected inclinations of the body and how the body interacts at a cellular level. Since then, Amy’s fascination with science has evolved from the health of the human body, to also contemplating the health of our living Earth and the complex challenges faced today.
