Learn how to write like a reporter! Whether you want insights for a neighborhood newsletter, skills for a school journalism story, or tips for marketing messages or corporate PR, this workshop will help your writing get to the point. Taught by a former reporter and current press officer/science writer, you will get an expert’s perspective as well as specific tips on how the basics of writing news stories and press releases can make all your writing more enticing and clearer.

About the Instructor: Joe Balintfy is a communications veteran with experience as a radio reporter, public relations professional, and English teacher. He is currently a public affairs specialist and science writer for a biomedical research agency. He has written thousands of press releases, 60-second radio spots, and podcast episodes. Joe has a bachelor's degree in radio, television, and film, and a minor in English.
