You need a system if you are a photographer with an itchy shutter finger, or just have years of digital photos languishing, unorganized, on your desktop. Join me to learn how to use Lightroom Classic to organize your digital photos and edit your images. Image editing is the next step every photographer should learn, and using Lightroom Classic allows you to make as many edits as you'd like without damaging your original file. Learn how to use keywords, quickly rate images, find them by collection, date or metadata, and see all the new AI editing capabilities you will love. Lightroom Classic is a part of Adobe’s Photographer package and plays nicely with Photoshop and other editing software. Learn workflows, tips and tricks to help you get the results you want.

About the Instructor: Heather Craig grew up in Wisconsin and fled what felt like endless winter for the balmy state of Illinois. After an intellectually peripatetic college experience (god bless the liberal arts!) and some strange jobs, she landed in New Orleans for graduate school and life. Heather moved to further her husband’s education, and ended up somewhere a bit magical, a bit worldly, and all awesome - Chapel Hill, NC. Heather has been a photographer for over 15 years. Her website, www.sourwoodphotography.com, documents some of the things she does, explores some of what she photographs, and highlights some of the awesome people in front of her lens.

Notes : Students should come prepared with any digital photo files they would like to work on. If you already have a device with Adobe Photographer and Lightroom Classic installed, bring it. If not, students may use these softwares on the ArtsCenter's Mac computers.
