Description :

In this class we will learn how to use basic tools and layers in Photoshop to create fine art and/or illustration. Come discover the magic of working in this interesting medium! Students should bring a notebook and pen. 

About the Instructor: Shelly Hehenberger has been a working and teaching artist since completing a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from the University of Cincinnati (1994), where she taught basic drawing for two years. She has exhibited widely since moving to the Carolinas in 2000, has self published 4 illustrated books, and has been a professional, agented illustrator since 1996. Shelly has worked in Photoshop since 2010 and uses it to create her illustrations as well as for book layout and production. Both her fine art and illustration work can be viewed at FRANK Gallery in Carrboro where she has been a member since 2012. Find her work at shellyhehenberger.com and shellyhehenbergerillustration.com.

Students can bring their own laptops with Photoshop installed, or use one of the Mac desktop computers at the ArtsCenter. *Note* Please inform us at artschool@artscenterlive.org if you plan to bring your own computer, as this may open spots for other students needing to use the onsite computers.
