Description :
Dig In workshops take place outside in the Learning Garden at VanDusen Botanical Garden; led by Sangeeta Thomas, Learning Garden Coordinator, these beginner-friendly, monthly sessions cover a variety of seasonal topics to help build your gardening skills. In this September workshop, we'll focus on bulbs and preparing your garden for spring. Learn the differences between bulbs, tubers and corms, and discover how to grow beautiful ornamental flowers for cutting gardens. We'll cover soil preparation, planting techniques, and how to protect bulbs from excess moisture and common pests over the winter. You'll leave with practical tips to help your garden thrive through the colder months and burst into colour next spring! Note: The Learning Garden is a 15-minute walk along paved and gravel trails.
