Description :

This is an easy-going, early learning program for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers. This program provides participants and their caregivers the opportunity to gather together in the Library (or in the courtyard outside when the weather permits), to engage with nature-themed children’s books, and to explore seasonal topics with age-appropriate activities.

The theme for April is: Bees and Other Pollinators

Children will learn the important role of pollinators in the garden through stories, songs and making their own 'lady bug' hand puppet to take home.

This program is designed for early learners between the ages of 3-5 years. Please send a message to library@vandusen.org if you would like to bring along younger or older siblings, or check out our website for education programs for school-aged children.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL adults & children attending the program must be registered in advance to attend. No drop-ins.

Notes : Supervision of children is the responsibility of the parent or caregiver at all times. Preschool Storytime sessions are free of charge, but registration of all members of your group (children and adults) is required. Please dress everyone for the weather as we sometimes hold the whole or a portion of the program outside and under cover. Warm clothing highly recommended. Although masks are no longer required, people are welcome to wear them in indoor locations. Please respect other people’s personal space, and do not attend programs or events if you or your child is ill or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms.
