Description :

Join Katharine Dickinson to illustrate fungi up close in this autumn workshop. Students will use a combination of watercolors for colour matching, blend the subtle color variations with wet-on-wet followed by dry brush techniques, adding colored pencil to create surface texture effects. Some experience with drawing and watercolour is recommended, lots of instructor guidance and step-by-step demonstrations.

Supplies:
- Sketchbook/Watercolour paper cold press medium 9x12” or 11x14
- Graphite pencils (2B and HB, pencil sharpener, kneaded eraser
- Watercolour and coloured pencils
- Brushes round with point size 8, 6 and 2

Prepare for class by bringing two different examples of fungi, and setting up a well-lit drawing location.
