Bumblebees are critical pollinators for BC native plants. During this walk, you will watch bumblebees at work in the Garden and begin to understand their relationship to flowers. Be prepared to stand in one spot for up to ten minutes at a time, as bumblebees can be very fast. A group of flowers could look inactive, but given a few minutes of observation, they suddenly appear. Certified Master Beekeeper Brian Campbell will cover the basics of bumblebee identification to help you get started on this fascinating adventure while exploring the Garden as a bumblebee reserve. Meet at the Visitor Centre and enter the Garden as a group. The entire class is spent outdoors, rain or shine. Online pre-registration is required. Notes : Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. For cancellations with one week's notice, a credit will be applied to your account. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
