Description :

Fall Semester:

With Lego Spike Essential and prime kits, children will build interactive machines. The kit comes with a Smarthub, a Medium Motor, Small motors, a Distance Sensor, a Colour Sensor, and enough building elements. The Desktop supported software that we use provides an easy to use programming environment and we follow WIZE pathway Curriculum that covers life, physical, earth and space sciences as well as engineering.

Winter Semester:

We use Microsoft Minecraft Education to teach computational thinking to Grade 3 and above students and is designed as a project-based learning experience, with a project included each week that reinforces the concepts learned in the lesson. This involves individual blocks of pre-written code that can be dragged and dropped into the script, just like a puzzle piece. This allows students get to go beyond just playing Minecraft, they get to program it!

The course include Introduction to Computational Thinking, Basic Coding concepts, sequencing and patterning, Variables and coordinates, Debugging and Troubleshooting, Computational thinking in the Real world and Final project.

Spring Semester:

3D Design and Printing introduces key STEAM concepts while fostering creativity and design thinking. This hands-on experience taps into children’s innate curiosity, encouraging them to create, share, and explore as they master the 3D printing process. By teaching design thinking, young students develop a growth mindset alongside essential problem-solving, analytical, and spatial reasoning skills. Best of all, they get to bring home the unique objects they’ve designed and printed.
