Description
An all-ages karate program focusing on recreational and sports Karate program for Tykes, Youth, Teens and Adults. We are a member club of Karate BC and currently Victoria’s leading competitive club with athlete placement onto regional, provincial and national teams. All coaches are certified or working towards certification thru the National Coaching Certificate Program. Our Karate Training Centre is over 4200 square feet in size and contains both a 700 sq ft grappling studio and a 1600 sq ft. karate studio. Our Training Centre also contains an 800 sq ft functional gym. Our Head Coach is a former National Team member with over 38 years of karate training experience and 15 years of national and International level karate coaching experience. All programs are taught in a fun and respectful manner with individualized coaching for every level. The principles of Long-Term Athlete Development are adhered to within the recreational and completion instructional streams. Important life skills such as goal-setting, teamwork, self-discipline, positive communication, self-confidence and respect for others are fostered within a martial arts context.
