Description:
Youth, Senior, and Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) Assistance Funding is available for families and individuals with financial hardship as an opportunity to participate in the City of Greeley’s Recreation programs. The Greeley Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department raises money through various sponsorships and donations for the Youth Assistance Fund. Funding is limited, nevertheless, the department seeks to accommodate all qualified requests with available funds.
To determine eligibility documentation from one of the following programs is required:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP)
Price: $0.00 Taxes waived
Required age: Under 18 years old as of 1/1/2025
Notes: Assistance Fund Qualification Process: • Ages: Youth Assistance is available to those under 18, Senior Assistance is available to those 60 and over, and AIR is available for all ages • Residency: Participants must be Greeley residents (non-Greeley Weld County residents will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis) • Amount: Once qualification is confirmed, each approved participant will receive a $150 scholarship. Each participant can utilize this money towards eligible program registration costs. • Timeline: The Assistance Program scholarship funding will expire at year-end, on December 31st. Individuals can resubmit their application for the following year if funding is available. • Eligible Items: Recreational items eligible for assistance will be identified on the Amilia store. Administration reserves the right to adjust items that are valid for assistance. Future funding and consideration for Financial Assistance may be impacted by non-use or improper use of applied funds from the current or prior years. Funding from alternate sources may be allocated to assist in providing scholarship funding and supporting the programs and initiatives of the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department.
