Description:

Fall Leadership Development Conference and General Meeting:

The AJFWA Fall Workshop is an annual leadership event offered to JFW leaders, parents/guardians, and third-year Challengers (Grade 12) each fall. It is planned intentionally at the beginning of each year, inspiring our current and future leaders as they launch their JFW season with fresh new ideas, community spirit and support from other leaders across our provinces.

You will choose your activity/session sign-ups closer to the event date.

First time to a Fall Workshop?

Experienced leaders offer programs in skills sessions related to the JFW Four Pillars that participants can take back to their clubs and then teach to the wardens. Other sessions may provide suggestions for running and managing a JFW club or practical skills such as navigating our AJFWA website and database.

Examples of skills from previous workshops have included knife safety, fire lighting techniques, tree and wildlife identification, first aid skills, how a board of directors operates, how to run a parent meeting, outdoor cooking, orienteering, geocaching, craft projects, bushcraft skills, ecology games, winter preparedness, fresh air dexterity and ice breakers, and how to run a campfire singalong or mug up.

Leaders gain invaluable knowledge, skills, confidence and inspiration during this weekend camp. Register soon before it fills up - you won’t be disappointed.

Participants will have networking and sharing opportunities on program leadership so that leaders gain confidence in their skills and knowledge to present to youth and other adults.

Required age: Over 17 years old as of 10/15/2025

Gender: Male, Female, Prefer not to say

Prerequisites: Registration is open to all JFW parents/guardians, club support, club leaders, instructors, committee members, and 3rd-year Challengers (BIRTH DATE required to activate the first registration step).
