Included in the price of registration:

  • Canada Artistic Swimming fees
  • Manitoba Artistic Swimming fees
  • Aquatica latex swim cap
  • Nose clip
  • Fall choreography camp
  • Participation in club watershow

*Aquatica is proud to be able to provide some of the most economical fees in competitive sport. Our competitive programs average $10.00 per hour of training with highly qualified, NCCP certified coaches. *

Items not included in the registration fee:

Apparel:  Athletes in the competitive streams will require:

  1. A black swimsuit, white cap and plain goggles for figure competitions. These can be purchased locally. Swimming Matters provides a discount for competitive aquatic athletes.
  2. Wardrobe Kit. Info to come. Kit requirements will vary for Provincial Stream and Competitive athletes
  3. Routine suits and head pieces to be determined as the routines take shape in the fall.  The coach, in consultation with the parents, will choose the suit.  The final decision rests with the coach.  These are ordered by the club and costs added to your invoice.

Competition Fees:  There are 4 – 6 meets per year, and athletes are charged competition fees for each meet in which they participate.  These fees range from $15 to $75 per event at each meet. “Events” include figures, team, solo, duet or combo at a given meet. All provincial stream athletes compete in the figure event and a routine event (usually team).

Volunteer Levy:  Families that have swimmers registered in a competitive program are required to make a commitment to support the Club through volunteering. Families back up their commitment to volunteer by agreeing to pay an amount pro-rated to the amount of time that they DO NOT complete- up to the full levy amount if no volunteering is completed. Families can choose, at registration to ‘buy out’ their entire volunteer obligation if they have no intention of volunteering. Please refer to the Aquatica Family Commitment Plan on our website for detailed information about volunteer requirements.

Fundraising Levy: Parents/guardians of competitive swimmers will be asked to participate in fundraising events. Because Aquatica Synchro Club is a non-profit, incorporated organization, fundraising is a critical component of reducing the overall fees for all swimmers. A fundraising fee of $400.00 per family is paid in advance which is earned back when fundraising items are sold. This fee will be collected via cheque at the start of the season.

Travel Costs: Travel amounts have been estimated for the year based on the previous year’s travel costs.  Travel costs are payable by cheque or etransfer and will be collected at the start of the season.  Travel Fees: estimated based on prior year's travel; $300 PS athletes, $300 11-12HP,  $2500 per out of province competition for all other HP athletes. Travel fees will be reconciled at the end of the season.

Note:  Aquatica Synchro reserves the right to withdraw programming if there is insufficient registration. Exact location, days and times of all programs are subject to pool confirmation in August 2023.

Solos, duets, and other additional training for competitive athletes: Swimmers request solo and duet routines as early as possible in the season.  Final decisions regarding who swims solos and duets, as well as duet partnerships will be made by coaches on or before October 8th, 2024. Additional training for figures or other athlete needs may be arranged and will follow the same schedule. At Aquatica, we do our best to accommodate the needs of the individual. Hours available for training will be communicated to competitive families. Athletes wanting to train outside the hours offered should discuss options with their coach, extra costs for pool space can incur if sessions do not take place during regularly scheduled training times. Fees include pool space time, coaching time on deck, as well as coaches prep time to choreograph routines, plan practices and cut music.

Note: Training fees will not be adjusted or refunded for training time missed due to pool foulings, pool closures, holidays, and weekend competitions. If athletes add on training later in the season, their rate will be prorated accordingly.
