Description:
Adult Beginning Ballet + Pre-Pointe/Pointe | Ballet 5:8 – Orland Park Have you always wanted to try ballet but didn’t know where to start? Or are you returning to dance after time away and looking for a welcoming place to continue your training? This combined class package is designed for teens and adults who want to build their ballet technique and, for those ready, begin or continue pointe training. Held in Ballet 5:8’s professional studios in Orland Park, this two-class experience combines Adult Ballet Technique with Adult Pre-Pointe/Pointe, allowing dancers to develop their skills and then apply that work in a focused pointe setting. Begin with a beginning ballet class designed to build the fundamentals of classical ballet in a supportive, non-intimidating environment. Whether you’re brand new to ballet, returning after time away, or looking for a fun alternative to the gym, this class will help you build strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and confidence. No prior ballet experience is required. Wear workout clothes, dancewear, or a mix of both—whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to move. Immediately following ballet technique, continue your training with our 30-minute Adult Pre-Pointe/Pointe class. The class alternates every other week between Pre-Pointe and Pointe instruction. During Pre-Pointe weeks, dancers focus on strengthening, alignment, conditioning, and exercises that build the foundation for safe and successful pointe work. During Pointe weeks, dancers with instructor approval work en pointe to refine technique, develop strength and stability, and build confidence. Dancers who are still preparing for pointe will work on pointe-specific coordination and technique on flat, helping them prepare for the transition to pointe shoes. Both groups benefit from each format: current pointe dancers continue strengthening their foundation through regular pre-pointe training, while pre-pointe dancers gain valuable preparation for future pointe work. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the Adult Beginning Ballet Technique class is required as part of this package. Cost: $28 per class package Come experience the beauty, strength, and artistry of ballet in a welcoming environment—whether you’re taking your first class or working toward pointe.Adult Ballet Technique
