IMPORTANT:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Any services and expenses relevant to the use by the Tenant of the rental area and not mentioned in this agreement are the responsibility and expense of the Tenant.

Damages incurred to the facility over the course of the tenant’s rental period will be the responsibility of the Tenant. Staff representing the Landlord will conduct a thorough walkthrough of the facilities before and after the rental period. Furthermore, equipment related to the nature of the tenant’s purposes (but owned by the Landlord) may be used but must be replaced if damaged in any way shape, or form.

No black tape or scuffing footwear may be used. Damages of this nature will be the full responsibility of the Tenant and can result in financial accountability.
The Tenant shall leave the facility in clean condition and dispose of garbage and waste appropriately. Failure to do so can result in financial accountability.

There will be no refunds for cancellations, although substitutions may be permitted. The Landlord will make best efforts to give credit to extend the term of the lease or find a suitable substitution for dates not used, provided the cancellation notice is made at least 30 days before.

The Club requires a Certificate of Insurance from the insured group’s carrier indicating the type of insurance coverage and liability amount. It must also state the BGC Ottawa as an additional insured.

The Tenants shall indemnify and save harmless the BGC Ottawa from and for any and all claims, demands, causes of action, loss, costs or damages that the BGC Ottawa may suffer, incur or be liable for resulting from any acts or omissions, obligations or performance or their failure or for any cause or reason whatsoever arising out of adherence to the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement or in relation to the use of the described facility.

The Landlord covenants with the Tenant that so long as the Tenant complies with the terms of this agreement, the Tenant may occupy and enjoy the rented area without any interruption from the Landlord.

Space will not be made available or accessible to any individual or group that espouses or promotes views and ideas which are likely to promote discrimination contempt, or hatred to any person based on race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, age, family status, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
