This summer we will be running a modified in-person summer camp for children and youth ages 5-13. We will be running camp out of both Midland and Penetanguishene. Each day campers will participate in fun crafts, games and activities with activities being held outside as much as possible. Physical distancing and frequent handwashing will be incorporated into our daily routine.

This summer there will be no day spots available (campers will need to register for the entire week), and there will be no field trips outside of walking trips to the park.

*Campers are strongly encouraged to register at one camp location for the entire summer. 

What to Bring to Camp

Every day campers should bring a healthy lunch with multiple snacks and a refillable water bottle. As the majority of our day will be spent outdoors sunscreen and weather appropriate clothing (hat, rain jacket etc.) should be brought every day as well.

Non-essential personal items such as toys, electronics etc. are not permitted at camp and should be left at home.

Masking

All campers and staff will be required to wear masks while indoors during summer camp (except for during snack and lunch breaks). While outside and in instances where physical distancing can be enforced, campers will not be required to wear masks.

We recommend packing multiple masks each camp day so that masks can be changed frequently throughout the day.

As we do not want camp fees to be a barrier and we want to ensure summer camp is accessible to all, BGC North Simcoe has subsidy options available to those who are in need of financial support.
