Description:

This presentation will examine the arrival of British groups—The Beatles, The Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones, The Animals, and others—who reintroduced many Americans to their own early blues and rock traditions. We’ll listen to representative tracks, discuss the musical cross-pollination that occurred across the Atlantic, and explore how American groups held their own during this wave of international popularity.

All classes are held in the CLE Lecture Hall at the Peggy Crosby Center unless otherwise noted.
