Botanical EcoTour: Wildflowers at Panthertown Valley

Description:

Panthertown Valley is one of the most beautiful and special places in Southern Appalachia, with many great views, waterfalls, and distinct ecosystems. Join trip leader Adam Bigelow for a slow, easy walk along the trail to Salt Rock overlook, stopping to observe and identify many beautiful trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.

Location:  Participants will meet at the CLE Lecture Hall. Directions will be provided by guide upon arrival. Caravanning and carpooling is encouraged.

Trip Leader: Adam Bigelow is a Horticulturist and the owner of Bigelow’s Botanical Excursions, an Ecotourism business offering guided, interpretive walks with a focus on the Native Wildflowers and Plants of the Southern Appalachian bioregion. Adam has been studying and working with plants for over twenty years and is the Garden Manager for the Cullowhee Community Garden, a donation-based organic community garden supported by the Jackson County Health Department

Notes: Cancellation Policy Please let us know immediately if you are unable to attend a class. There is no refund for cancellations within two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled class. Programs that include food, beverage or art materials must be canceled within three (3) weeks prior to receive a refund. CLE reserves the right to cancel a program if the minimum enrollment has not been met or for circumstances beyond our control, and participants will be notified, a complete refund will be issued. All classes are held in the CLE Lecture Hall at the Peggy Crosby Center unless otherwise noted. In the event information has changed from the published brochure, it will be posted on our website and in our e-blasts. Addresses for “private home” venues will be provided to registrants within 2 days of the program date.
