The Spot Membership provides access to the Douglass Community Center and is the ultimate afterschool hangout for students in grades 6th-8th. The Spot Membership is a school-year membership that follows the 2026–2027 school calendar.

With The Spot Membership, teens enjoy:

Youth memberships are restricted to ages 3-17. Kids 2 and under come in free (18+ adult supervision required for youth 11 and under).

Youth Policy: Children 11 and under must be directly supervised by an adult 18 years of age or older on the track and in the gym at all times and are not permitted in the weight room at any time. Members enrolled in 6th through 8th grade or at least 12 years old may only use the gym unsupervised but must be directly supervised by a member at least 18 years of age or older on the track. Members must be at least 15 years old or enrolled in high school to be in the weight room and use the track unsupervised. Proof of age or student status must be provided upon request.

All new dog park members will receive a key fob that grants you access into the park. Key fobs can be picked up at the following locations:

Additional or replacement key fobs are available to purchase for $10.  

Rabies and distemper vaccination records must be provided every year for membership renewal.

Additional Dogs

Additional dog memberships may be added for a $10 fee per dog. Members are limited to 3 dogs total. 

Two Memberships For a Discount

Urbana Park District operates a dog park at 1501 E. Perkins Road. The two park districts have an agreement that allows members to purchase a gate fob for the Urbana Dog Park for just $10. Members must take a copy of the membership receipt to the Urbana Park District’s Phillips Recreation Center for the additional dog park access. Rules for both parks are the same.

Dog Park Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
