Description:
For our Spring Session we are offering two mini Art Club sessions- each wlll run 3 weeks. Take one or both sessions. Different projects will be featured. A great chance to try out before a full six week session! Session One: May 8-22 Session Two: May 29-June 12 Our beloved Art Club led by tenured instructor Didi Johnson. Taken it before? All new projects this session! Venture on an artistic journey starting right here at home to around the world through art and imagination. Create projects inspired by stories and elements of culture like art, dance, music, traditions, and even food, while expressing your own ideas and interests. Build your arts skills and creativity using variety of media and techniques including drawing, painting, printing, and collage. Instructor: Didi Johnson is an art educator with over 30 years of experience. Along with teaching art, Didi writes arts integrated curriculum with an emphasis on STEAM concepts and social and emotional learning (SEL). She also facilitates professional development for educators. Didi holds a master’s degree in creative arts therapy and is a certified art teacher. Originally from New York, Didi moved to Oregon in 2019 after living in Wisconsin for a decade. Now residing in Newberg, Didi enjoys her own art practice, gardening, cooking, nature, and spending time with her husband Marc, and her dog, Maizie.
